Students can participate in extra-curricular activities such as intramural sports, track, art club, and various special interest clubs.

Extensive opportunities for students to develop leadership skills are available. Examples include patrols, playground leaders, ambassadors, buddy classes and lunch hour secretaries.

The regular program at LaPerle School provides instruction that follows the mandated Alberta curriculum. Each school in Edmonton Public Schools complements the teaching of the curriculum differently, based on the needs of their students and input from parents.
